If you have been searching for answers or just need some emotional support Sea Hope Counselling is for you.
I offer Person Centred Therapeutic counselling. This means that you will be encouraged to talk about your feelings and emotions during the sessions and I will listen and support you without judging or criticising.
I can help you to gain a better understanding of your feelings and thought processes and find your own solutions to problems you may be experiencing. As each client is unique, each session is bespoke to your individual requirements. I would recommend that you to come for an initial session to see how it feels for you. It is important that you feel comfortable and able to explore your feelings with your therapist.
How many sessions do I need
This is entirely down to the individual and something that we will discuss together in your first session. I usually recommend that you have between 5 and 10 sessions, as each session builds on the previous and having a block of sessions allows the time to work through your issues or problems.
How much will a session cost me?
Please contact meto discuss pricing. To make therapy accessible for all I do offer concessions, which can be discussed on an individual basis.
Is everything I say kept confidential?
I work with in the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) Ethical Framework for the Counselling Professionals.
The counselling service is confidential, and I will not discuss anything about you outside of the session without your explicit agreement, except in exceptional circumstances. For example, I would have a duty to inform your GP if I was concerned that there was a serious risk of harm to yourself or others.
Confidentiality is a very important part of counselling.
I may store data in accordance with the Data Protection Act. I keep my own records and these notes are held securely and confidentially for a period of time, after which they are destroyed. No information that can be traced back to individuals will be kept.
